Old Red Trail Scenic Byway

The Old Red Old Ten Scenic Byway runs through the Southern part of our city. The route is a beautiful byway traversing rolling countryside and small towns from Mandan, North Dakota in the east to Dickinson, North Dakota in the west.  The Old Red Old Ten Scenic Byway was approved as the state’s 10th Scenic Byway in 2008.  One of the features of the Old Red Old Ten Byway is the Talking Trail, which highlights both the history and present day life of places of interest along the Old Red Trail.

 

The route begins at the Mandan Depot on Main Street and travels west to Dickinson, spanning two North Dakota Counties. In addition to Hebron, communities in Morton County are Mandan, New Salem, Almont/Sims, and Glen Ullin.  Continuing west to Stark County are the communities of Richardton, Taylor, Gladstone, and Dickinson.
